Altenew Certification Program (2)

I have been making cards for over 2 years now. Since starting I have tried to find way to make my card making skills improve and I wasn't really sure how to do that. Well enter the Altenew Educator Certification Program.

What is the Educator Certification Program? I'll let Altenew explain it with their own word:

Do you want to enhance your skills and become a crafting expert/educator? Altenew Education Program could be your answer! This program will help you improve your paper crafting skills, master new techniques and redefine the way crafters learn! When you join our team of educators, you will have access to exciting and exclusive educator benefits - product discounts, sponsorships and more! Together, we can work towards spreading the art of paper-crafting throughout the community and across the globe.

I mulled it over and final decided to apply and I was accepted!

What this means is I will be taking classes at the Altenew Academy and then creating card projects based off of the techniques I learn. Some will be new to me and others I have been doing for a while. I'm really excited to see where this will lead.

Last week I shared my first card for the certificate program based on the All About Layering class I took. Well I'm back this week with card #2. Same premise, but this time it is for a class called...All About Layering 2.

I buy a lot of stamp sets that I forget about and the Hibiscus Bouquet is one of them. I love this set so much and I think I have used it only twice. Luckily it was a featured set in All About Layering 2 so I was able to get my act together and use it.

A lot of the trouble I have with flowers is figuring out the placement of leaves so I tend to just use the floral and not the greenery. After watching the video and seeing some examples of how to use this set I decided just to play with it a little and not be so literal about it.

To keep with that idea I immediately grabbed my Pink Diamond and Limestone ink cubes. Originally I was just going to place the large floral in the two corners but then I started to look at it and the stamps and realized there were other things I could do so I got to stamping. And I have to say I love the end result.

This is definitely a design I can see myself using again in the future.

How do you use the Hibiscus Bouquet stamp set? Send me a link for your design if you have created one.

Next class will be: Clean and Simple Boutique Cards.
