Envelope Buying
I had recently posted on my personal twitter about my envelope purchase I had just made. I had received an order of 230 envelopes in 20 different colors. When I posted the picture a follower asked where I bough them. It got me thinking. As a card maker we talk a lot about supplies you need to make cards. We talk about ink, card stock, stamps, utensils and more. What we don't talk about is the envelopes that go with card making and where you buy them. Well that stops today. Today I'm going to share with you the 3 places I buy my envelopes and why I love them.
The thing I love about envelopes from Simon Says Stamp is most are self-adhering. Any envelope that you buy there (minus the V flap envelopes) will come with an adhesive strip for closure. It makes sealing the envelope easier since you don't have to lick it. Also they have recently-ish released packs of envelopes in coordinating colors which is nice if you want a variety of option in one purchase.

The color selection from Gina K. Designs is enough to send you there to shop. Honestly one of my all time favorite envelope colors (Lipstick) is only available from Gina K. Designs. They don't self-adhere or have a V flap option, but they have a good enough variety that I buy from them from time to time.

By far this is my favorite option for buying envelopes. The quality is usually think and sturdy (it does vary by color) and the shipping is very fast as they are a company in Massachusetts. But what I really love about Cards and Pockets is the variety of colors and the price point. You pay per envelope with them so 10 envelopes is roughly only $1.70 which is by far the cheapest of the companies. And there are around 113 different color options. The down fall, there are no coordinating inks or card stock so you have to get creative.
Price point: $.15 - $.18 per envelope. A pack of 10 is about $1.50 - $1.80
